 Parents,

          This year AR will be done a little different than at the Elementary. Every fourth grader must reach 10 points the first nine weeks by reading books on their individual reading level. I sent this level home on a colored note for you to sign a few weeks ago.

Only books passed with a 70% or higher on their grade level will count towards their goal. Also books read by the teacher will not be counted.

Since this is a little different, I thought I would share with you a way that you can stay in touch with your child’s AR books and tests that they have taken throughout the year. If you follow the steps below, you can sign-up for a program called Renaissance Home Connect. It is free and sends you e-mails when your child takes any AR test. I hope this is a helpful tool for you.

Steps to set up Renaissance Home Connect:

1.    Go to the Lake Hamilton School website: http://wolves.dsc.k12.ar.us/

2.    Next, at the top click on schools

3.    Then find the Intermediate School and click on Media Center

4.    At the top middle you will see a section called “What’s Happening @ The Library”  within that paragraph you will see Renaissance Home Connect-Click on those words

5.    The next screen will prompt you to place your child’s log-in information for AR (it is their first name.last name and the password is their lunch number…they can also show you)

6.    Once you are logged in-click on the e-mail set-up at the top and then go through all the steps…Now you are finished.

Reminder:

Goal is due on OCTOBER 12.
